I am a competitive athlete, teammate, coach, entrepeneur, dad, husband who has a passion for competing and helping people find better ways to win. It just so happens that I am also naturally curious and slightly obsessed with all things personal finance. What is the MoneyGame and how can I win?
Great question! We are athletic individuals and that naturally makes us very competitive. So we decided to reference the MoneyGame as our word we use when talking about all things related to your personal finances. There are many variables that go into someones personal finances so instead of listing out things like investments, insurance, debts, loans, income, etc. we just use the word MoneyGame.
As for winning this so called MoneyGame. That is a little more vague as the deifnition of “winning” is really defined by each of our clients individually. Sure everyone wants more money but at the end of the day our clients define what “winning” is to them and we work to create a gameplan that helps them acheive that goal.
What is financial planning?
It is an ongoing process towards achieving your financial goals and it helps you get from where you are today, to where you want to be tomorrow, while making the best of what you got.
In sports and in personal finance, we see the planning process play a vital part in your chances of winning. Would you just show up on game day without ever practicing or watching film? Of course not because you would lose the game! Financial planning is no different. If you want to win the money game then we believe it all starts with financial planning.
Why is financial planning important?
You put blood, sweat, and tears into getting ready to compete and then go lay it all on the line. It is great feeling when you win but not so much when you lose. The money game is the same except there is much more at stake. The win in this game is much greater than a trophy. You define the wins but they can be simple or complex like protecting your family from disaster, having unbelievable life experiences, and ultimately helping your family live their best life!
